Bids will be opened this Thursday, March 4th for Phase III of the Lorain Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project. Phase III includes the undergrounding of utilities and installation of historic street lighting from the bridge to the Groveland intersection, including new sidewalks with the charcoal strip and decorative paver elements. From Groveland to Rocky River Drive, the charcoal strip will be installed, as well as the decorative paver elements. The items included in Phase III were deleted from the Phase II due to budgetary constraints. Phase III was made possible due to the availability of federal stimulus funds and the project being "shovel ready.” Thanks to our elected officials and City of Cleveland staff for successfully securing the funding.
