Rego's Canvass Bag

Thinking of going green in the New Year? One easy step toward that goal is to break the “paper or plastic” shopping habit. Green canvas shopping bags with sturdy handles are available now at Rego’s. The Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market and Fairview Hospital logos are on one side and Rego’s is on the other. Only 99 cents each, these canvas bags are strong and reliable, don't tip over, hold more than plastic bags, and are good for the environment. Why not purchase several? Hang them near your back door or keep them in the trunk of your car so they'll be available for shopping whenever you are!

The Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market is gone for the season, but not entirely! Visit the mini farmers market in the motor home at the municipal lot at West 168th and Lorain Avenue on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 10:30 a.m. brought to you by Hickory Acres. These fine folks are vendors at our summer market and have continued offering their fabulous organic meat, Olive Tap olive oil, Jorgensen’s Apiary honey, and Red Cedar coffee. Step into the heated comfort of their motor home next to the guard shack. You may pre-order products at their website here or by calling 440-574-5512.

The free horse-drawn wagon rides down Lorain Avenue ended Thursday, December 18. We hope you've enjoyed them! Thank our local auto dealers and the Greater Cleveland Auto Dealers Association for providing this special holiday treat. To see a photo gallery from this year's rides, visit the website of our ride provider, Yesteryear Horse and Carriage, Inc. here

Grants are available to any group of residents in the City of Cleveland. Groups do not need to be recognized as 501(c)(3) to receive a grant. There will be an orientation meeting for grant seekers at the West Park Library on Monday, January 12 at 8 p.m. You are encouraged to come and ask questions. Neighborhood Connections is a program of Suite 1300 Services, an affiliate of The Cleveland Foundation.
