The Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market (KCFM) will be coming to a close on Sunday, October 19th. This unique farmers market features fresh local food, as well as weekly health and wellness education, live entertainment, and cooking demonstrations. (Johnny Mango this Sunday at 12:30!) The market is open every Sunday until October 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is conveniently located off Lorain Avenue at West 168th Street (municipal lot behind Walgreens).  Other upcoming special events include horse drawn wagon rides and a perennial exchange on October 12th, and a pumpkin carving demonstration on October 19th! Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) Applications are available now. This timely reminder comes as energy costs are rising and the need for energy efficiency becomes more apparent. HWAP is available to Cleveland homeowners and tenants who meet income guidelines. The HWAP program provides grants of $3,900 per unit to income eligible Cleveland homeowners and tenants who wish to weatherize their home or apartment this winter.
