Santa Visits Kamm’s Corners on Friday, December 5! The magic begins at 6 p.m. under the clock in Downtown Kamm’s Corners at Lorain Avenue and Rocky River Drive. Cecilia’s Song, an a cappella choir from Saint Joseph Academy, will sing a medley of holiday tunes. Everyone will be invited to join in the caroling until Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by horse-drawn sleigh to greet the crowd. Then all will follow Santa to Kamms Plaza for a Christmas Around the World-themed Winter Wonderland from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy a barber shop quartet, horse-drawn sleigh rides, face painting, balloon creatures, and crafts for the kids. Free refreshments will be served. You may be an instant winner of a great door prize donated by local merchants! At around 8 p.m. a big drawing will be held for two televisions, a DVD player, and an MP3 player, all donated by Kamms Plaza. (Adults only for the big drawing, please.) This free event is sponsored by Kamms Plaza Shopping Center with the cooperation of KCDC.

Thank you to each and every one who came out to shop and play at the Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market this season. The market’s final Sunday was October 19, with our house band Brand New Hat laying down some fine tunes and Janelle Reardon of the Cleveland Metroparks showing us some amazing things anyone can do to decorate pumpkins. We estimate that attendance increased by 50% this year, thanks to community support. Fun activities combined with 24 fabulous vendors lead us to be named the “Best Farmers Market in Cleveland” by Scene Magazine. The vegetables may be gone, but on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 10:30 a.m. organic meat, olive oil, honey, and coffee from market vendors will be available from the folks at Hickory Acres. They will operate from their heated motor home next to the guard shack on the market site in the municipal lot at West 168th and Lorain Avenue to keep the market spirit alive during the winter months (except January) until the market re-opens.

The holiday issue of Kamm’s Corners Magazine will be available at the end of November. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, send your name and address to info@kammscorners.com. You may view previous magazines at our website.
