Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market?? You bet! Even though it’s only February, last month the committee held its first meeting for the 2008 season.

Of particular importance to the market is ongoing funding to be sure the market is able to continue to be the Sunday tradition it became last year. The committee is dedicated to providing not only the freshest available produce, but also the great lineup of entertainment, chef demonstrations, and health and wellness activities that were embraced by the neighborhood last year.

We have partnered with the famed Ohio City restaurant Johnny Mango to host a day where 20% of their sales from customers who present the coupon linked here will be donated to the Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market. That includes eat in, take out, alcohol sales, everything! So why not plan a meal on Monday, March 3rd around Johnny Mango? Your business will be very much appreciated. A map can be found here.

Money for Cleveland Neighborhood Projects is Available! Neighborhood Connections, a special program of The Cleveland Foundation, will provide grants of $500 to $5,000 to projects that will benefit Cleveland neighborhoods. Proposals are due Friday, February 15, at 5:00 p.m. All neighborhood groups in the City of Cleveland are eligible, whether or not they are registered as a non-profit. Groups interested in applying for funding are encouraged to attend an orientation session to discuss how to obtain a grant on Wednesday, February 6th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the West Park Branch of the Cleveland Public Library at 3805 West 157th. Proposal forms will be distributed at these workshops and are also available online here at or call 216-393-4640.
