Meet our new Councilman, Martin Keane, at KCDC’s Annual Town Meeting!

Martin J. Keane was appointed to represent Ward 21 on Cleveland City Council last Monday, March 26.

Prior to joining City Council, Councilman Keane served as an Assistant County Prosecutor with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.  He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Cleveland Marshall College of Law.  He was born and raised in Ward 21, where he currently resides with his wife and four children.

The Councilman can be reached at his City Hall office at 664-4239, or his ward office at 941-9509, and he encourages you to call and introduce yourself. You can also email him at martin.keane.ward21@gmail.com. Peggy Shea, Executive Assistant to former councilman Mike Dolan, has been retained by Councilman Keane and will continue to serve Ward 21.

Meet Councilman Keane at KCDC’s Annual Town Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on May 30th at Saint Joseph Academy, where he will make some remarks before our keynote speaker, Mayor Frank Jackson.

Farmers Market Call for Talent

The Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market will kick off Sunday, June 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and will continue every Sunday through the summer and early fall. The location will be the Southeast Quad Parking Lot behind Walgreens (same location as Asphalt Cinema). Look for the freshest produce, as well as weekly chef and nutritional demonstrations, and live entertainment!

The Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market Entertainment Committee is looking for talent to fill four hours each week. The first hour and a half will be booked with local groups such as church choirs, Irish step dancers, and other locally based amateur entertainment. A $50 fee will be offered. The second half of the market day—about 2 hours—will be filled with professional musicians: fiddlers, guitar duos, banjos, mandolins, maybe even a bagpiper! A fee of $150 will be offered to these professionals. If your group is interesting in performing, email kcfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

Rego’s Fresh Market Grand Opening

A grand time was had by all at Rego’s Fresh Market's grand opening at Kamm’s Plaza. Mayor Frank Jackson was in attendance to cut the ribbon with Rego family members and other dignitaries including former councilman Mike Dolan and Fairview Hospital Interim President Jan Murphy. Joe Outlaw of Outlaw Productions photographed the event.
