Looking Back at Asphalt Cinema 2006
Neighbors enjoyed the fourth season of our series of free outdoor family movies called Asphalt Cinema, because the movies are always shown in the Southeast Quad parking lot at West 168th Street and Albers Avenue (behind Walgreens). All you need do is bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening of family fun under the stars.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped make Asphalt Cinema a success, especially to our sponsors. But, thanks also goes to West Park Kiwanis for selling beverages and donating the proceeds to KCDC. And, thanks go to Fairview Hospital for providing their white laundry truck against which we set up the projection screen. H & S Party Rentals gave us a good deal on the equipment we used to make snow cones and popcorn for the crowd.
Balloon Man Gene added to the fun and AVR Audio Visual Rentals did a great job in making sure the movie looked and sounded terrific.
There’s always fun for the entire family at Asphalt Cinema! We hope to see you next summer!
